Introduction?

Hello! There really is not a lot of information to write her just yet....so here's a quick rundown. My dad, Mike Hain, and myself, Kris, have been playing with solar related projects all of our lives. My dad started my interest at a very early age. In the 80 and early 90s, Mike had built an experimental panel for hot water collection at our house, but we have always wanted something better than what was there. In the late 1990s, we moved to our current location, and just this year, June 30, 2003, the Hain Solar System came online...and ON-LINE!

A new design of system, 100% computer controlled, Mike and Kris have build almost every component by themselves. From Analog-to-Digital converters, to custom logging, controlling and graphing sofware, not 1 inch of system space lacks "Hain Custom Work"

As I get time, I'll update more information here, add pictures, etc...but here are some things we're working on (in the nights and weekends we used to call spare time...)

-> Mike and Kris are going to add Wind-Speed and Direction to the solar computer (controller built, have to build encoder heads and hang outside...) -> Kris is starting to build a solar-electric car to drive back and forth to work -> Mike and Kris are starting to build the solar-electric system for the house -> More water panels will be added this summer, along with a tracking device (simular to the existing tracker that Mike has built for the 2 Photovoltaic panels we currently have...)
